Technical background

Our Founder Nicole Dennis, has 20 years of experience working as an urban and regional planner running and designing integrated engagement placemaking processes as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We understand the planning, strategy and design process from the perspective of government and the private sector.

Community and place-led

We have designed proven methodologies over the last 20 years that create insights to help our clients understand their communities and places better. We take the time to sit face to face with our communities. More than consultants writing another strategy with some great ideas, we design placemaking strategies and engagement programs that can be delivered with their communities at the heart. We have a proven ourselves in delivering the strategies we produce and understand who to activate and build social capital and resilience in places past an event or short term program.

Culturally aware and inclusive

Our work connects with culturally diverse and priority communities using accessible, human-centered methods. We collaborate with those with differing lived experience, and invite them to lead where appropriate. We have considerable experience working collaboratively with artsits and we understand the value they bring to creative placemaking and community development.

Policy-aligned

We have a deep understanding of NSW Government frameworks and legislation that helps us recommend engagement solutions that support your goals. As IAP2 members and trained facilitators, we offer leading engagement strategy design to ensure not only compliance, but credibility as we support our clients to build long term relationships.
